Another Friday, another new bar opening. This time it’s more Yes! than yawn, thank God, with Glo Glo’s throwing open its doors this very evening at 54 Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch. The brainchild of Will Ricker (of E&O, Eight Over Eight and XO renown), Glo Glo’s offers the East End’s quiff-sporting cool kids Tokyo-inspired cocktails served up against a backdrop of colour-changing ceiling panels and intimate drinking booths. We’re particularly excited to try the Yokohama Sour, made from Grey Goose, pear, lemon, sugar, ginger and egg white. Yum! Pan-Asian sharing dishes finish things off nicely, while guest DJs are set to rock the room from 8 ’til late. God, we love this town.
