Man loves meat, which is why much-loved British chef and all-round cheeky chappy Jamie Oliver is opening a restaurant dedicated entirely to barbecued meat. Opening at the One New Change shopping complex in St Paul’s, Barbecoa is a collaboration between Jamie and renowned American barbecue chef Adam Perry Lang; inside will be space for 200 bloodthirsty diners, with Tom Dixon interiors and views out over the cathedral. The mouthwatering menu, however, is where Barbecoa really comes into its own; the kitchen will have a total of five cooking methods unrivalled in the UK, including wood-fired ovens, Robata grills, Argentine grills, tandoor ovens and a smoker, all of which will come together to create lipsmackingly good plates of meat and fish. As you’d expect from Jamie, the produce is fresh and impeccably-sourced, and is sure to have the chef’s carnivorous fanbase flocking from across the country.
