China Bar, 65/F Park Hyatt Building, 2 Jianguomenwai Street
Perched on the 65th floor of the Park Hyatt Beijing, China Bar is the loftiest drinking establishment in the capital. The design of the bar benefits from the tower’s lantern-like zenith with seating along the 360-degree panoramas of Beijing and a prime view of the CCTV tower. A live jazz trio sets the tone with Bosanova as movers and shakers enjoy vintage champagnes and champagne mojitos. The interior plays on Eastern aesthetics with dark wood floors and Chinese screens contrasting with a jade bar. The wine cellar boasts over 440 varieties as well as a range of whiskeys and cognacs. Do note that the tables by the window come with a price tag that is best for those on an expense account. Those lucky enough to be in Beijing this evening should here there tonight, when the party really gets started.
