Aspinal Adopts The Spirit Of Lindenbergh / Hg2 MUST-HAVE

‘What kind of man would live where there is no daring? I don’t believe in taking foolish chances, but nothing can be accomplished without taking any chance at all.’ Thus Charles Lindenbergh, the first man to fly across the Atlantic. Doing so on a single engine monoplane, The Spirit of St Louis, the pilot took off from New York on May 20th 1927 and landed the following day, to instant fame, in Paris. Travel has come a long way since this bold demonstration of pioneering pluck and airborne resilience. Hg2 occasionally pines after a similar sort of world; a time when the mere act of travelling was itself a glamorous, sexy and danger-ridden experience. Increasingly, we have become solely focused on getting to destinations, unmoved by the modern jet engine. The biggest mystery of this sort of travel is where the nearest toilet is located. So join Hg2 in our effort to reclaim the ancient art of getting from A to B in style. Aspinal Lindberg [sic] wallets, come with a passport cover and are wrapped in gorgeous ‘mock croc’ calf leather. They should add a much-needed hint of class to our travel plans. The seemingly simple, often stressful, act of finding tickets and the correct currency would be so much more pleasant with one of these at our sides. Lined with a soft coloured suede and Moire silk, this is certainly one for those who love the little luxuries in life. The passport, ticket, wallet routine will never be quite the same again.
