Lost At Sea With Madame JoJo’s / FRIDAY NIGHT HOTSPOT

It’s a dilemma. What night to go-go to the long-running and louche Madame JoJo’s? Pick a day, any day: there’s White Heat’s indie live band night every Tuesday, the high-camp, high-heeled Tranny Shack on Wednesdays, as well as all sorts of wildcards in the rest of the week. Whenever you decide to visit this former strip club, you will come away feeling a little bit decadent and a little bit dirty – possibly something to do with the venue’s retro trashy-chic decor of plush velvet booths, gilded balustrades and mirrored walls that still channels seedy Soho boudoirs. And now, every 2nd Friday of the month starting tonight, Madame JoJo’s presents Shipwrecked, starring international artists Lola LaBelle and Tempest Rose alongside their very special guests plucked from the crème de la crème of the burlesque, cabaret and circus worlds. Having set sail on their round-the-world tour, the girls of the House of Burlesque have found themselves shipwrecked by a terrible storm on the Island of Temptation. Find out how these glamorous beauties cope with island life, meet their new friends and see what goes bump in the night! This sexy, lighthearted extravaganza features the very best of the international cabaret and burlesque scene. So down a cocktail, don a hula skirt and come sail away with the House of Burlesque! Doors open at 6.30pm, show starts at 7.30pm.
