White Trash / NEWS HUNGRY

We’ve stayed in some pretty trashy hotels before, but this really takes the biscuit. Opened in Madrid just yesterday, the Save The Beach Hotel comes courtesy of Mexican beer company Corona, which has opened up a hotel made entirely from trash. It’s fully-functional, too, with the property ready to welcome guests who won a Facebook competition in order to stay. There are five rooms in total, with German artist HA Schult collecting 12 tonnes of rubbish from across Europe’s littered beaches to decorate. Open from now until 23rd January, the hotel coincides with a tourism fair being held in the Spanish capital and aims to raise awareness of the plight of European beaches.
