Wyld Thing / Hg2 MUST-PARTY

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and we can’t wait. Not because we’re expecting flowers, chocolates and cards (we’d choose whips and chains over those any day), but because W London – the capital’s most-anticipated hotel opening – is finally throwing open its doors. Set to become something of an all-encompassing destination hotel, with everything from restaurants to a spa housed within, it’s the grand opening we’ve all been waiting for. As a self-proclaimed party hotel, one of the best bits is sure to be its nightclub; called Wyld (don’t you just love it?), the concept is a cool collaboration between W Hotels and the Ignite Group, which counts Boujis among its small but perfectly formed portfolio of happening hotspots. Set to bring much-needed wow factor back to London’s high-octane party scene, both the music and drinks will be inspired by rock ‘n’ roll London (we’re particularly excited about sampling the signature Wyld Shot, a mixture of tequila, kaffir lime sugar syrup, lemon and fresh watermelon). Meanwhile, Amsterdam-based starchitect firm Concrete has taken the rock ‘n’ roll theme to the extreme inside, with ruby red furnishings and a giant mirror ball injecting gorgeously-hued glitz and glamour. We await our invitation to the opening – seriously.
