Take-away has a whole new meaning at Marlow & Sons, a trendy eatery in the Williamsburg neighbourhood of New York. The restaurant has recently unveiled plans to offer diners a range of ‘souvenirs’ made from the skin of animals that feature on the menu; these will come in a variety of forms, from leather pouches and bags made from cow-hide to hats and sweaters made with wool and fur. Co-owner Kate Huling said; “We want something people could enjoy beyond their dinner. They come in, they eat, they leave and usually think of something else. So the bags really preserve and honour that animal.” Bunny rabbit-loving vegetarians are advised to steer well clear.
