Whether it be office distraction, writers block or plain boredom, it’s happened to the best of us – even at Hg2, some of us more culpable than others admittedly but the sad truth is there isn’t many cures for any of these ailments. We’re all aware of the ‘work from home’ method which has an abysmal success rate and the ‘work on transport’ method is a sight rarer than breathing space in a rush-hour tube carriage. This is where we remind you of the enterprising and innovative spirit within London, the kind that make it such a unique and remarkable city. Currently in beta, Central are embarking on an exciting new venture, offering to its members a new kind of workspace in the city. Due to open in April on the the ground floor of the Myhotel in Bloomsbury, Central members will be given the perfect environment to relax, network and complete work in. The creative minds at Central are currently working on overload and joining forces with London artist Gretchen Jacobsen coming up with a novel way to advertise their building, transforming it into a beautifully crafted, interactive hoarding in the process. Every Friday lunchtime Central are inviting you as well as neighbouring businesses the opportunity to help create this mural across 11 meters of hoarding. With some of the cities most famed artists aligned with us in sharing our hedonistic disposition the expectation leaves us with a lot to live up to – no pressure at all then. Paintbrushes at the ready!
