While we wouldn’t usually recommend doing it in public – well, perhaps if it’s a special occasion – the forthcoming opening at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel has swayed us. Called Public Kitchen & Bar, the new eatery – opening today – has been decked out by LA-based design firm Studio Collective and features a contemporary loft-inspired space that will act as the hotel’s central dining destination. Heading up the menu will be Tim Goodell, executive chef of Domaine Restaurants, who has put together the kind of affordable dishes he would serve his friends at home; options will include chicken liver terrine with kumquat marmalade and grilled rustic bread, and spiced duck steak leg confirt with caramlised turnips.
