Bardot is an upscale, glamorous club lit by chandeliers and boarded by gold gilt. Thick candles dripping with wax dot the bar and ornate side tables, maroon velvet curtains hang in the window, and Gucci-glad bottoms grace the plush sofas. One wall is made entirely of velvet, and there’s a sophisticated bar where you can sit and enjoy an expertly made mojito if you arrive early enough. There’s space to dance but Bardot has a more lounge atmosphere than most Bogotá clubs and there’s plenty of mingling and popping of Champagne. Bardot hosts a well-to-do crowd of flashy business executives and their highly groomed female counterparts; it’s a venue that demands overpriced heels rather than practical flats. As the night wears on, Bardot becomes ever more crowded and you have to fight to reach the bar. But if you’re in the mood for glamour, then you can’t get more luxurious than Bardot.
