Tree Of Life / Hg2 MUST-STAY

The Peninsula Hotel group has launched its own Japanese earthquake relief effort with a three-pronged initiative at its properties in Asia and the US. Called Hope for Japan, the initiative comprises a donation for each guest stay, a special Japanese-themed afternoon tea (100 per cent of the $50 charge going directly to Hope for Japan) and a special ‘Tree of Cranes’ in each hotel lobby, with guests invited to make a minimum donation of $5 to receive an origami crane to add to the tree. As a symbol of good fortune in Japan, we couldn’t think of anything more appropriate. Get involved.
