Reach For The Sky / Hg2 MUST-STAY

We love getting high here at Hg2 – legally, of course – which is why our very own office is on the 10th floor of a building in Notting Hill with 360-degree views of London. It makes sense, then, that we were a little bit excited to discover that the world’s highest hotel, the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, is now open and welcoming guests 118 floors up. As the group’s 16th plush property in Asia, we’re huge fans – but this outpost really takes the Chinese cracker. Crowning the top of the International Commerce Centre – from level 102 to 118, and accessed via a separate lobby on level nine – the hotel offers 312 extremely well-appointed guest rooms (the 3,920-square-foot Deluxe Suite is our pick), six design-savvy destination restaurants, and an ESPA-branded spa where guests can work up a sweat while looking through floor-to-ceiling glass windows. There’s also a bar and rooftop terrace with sweeping panoramic views – just don’t have one too many lychee martinis, or you may find yourself veering dangerously close to the edge.
