Long, leisurely al fresco brunches accompanied by crisp glasses of white wine and a stash of morning papers and glossy supplements. Spring is in the air, and late-morning dining doesn’t get much better. Opening at the end of April on Fulham Palace Road is Bloom, an all-day café/restaurant space that comprises an elegant, red brick-exposed dining room and a spacious, flora and fauna-filled outdoor terrace. Planted directly opposite the landmark Fulham Palace Garden Centre, the elegant new eatery will provide a stylish space for the Chelsea set to chow down and catch up, whether over hearty breakfasts and brunches, languid, booze-fuelled lunches, or decadent, late-night dinners. Afternoon tea, cocktails and wine will also be available for those who prefer sustenance of the liquid variety, with plans for a dedicated delicatessen area selling artisan breads and take-away dishes to open shortly after.
