Fruits Of Your Labour / Hg2 MUST-DRINK

Hotels don’t come more legendary than The Dorchester; during the excess of the 90s, the Park Lane property was always splashed across the front pages with everyone from rockstars to royalty staying here – occasionally together. To mark its 80th birthday this year, the hotel is celebrating with a long-forgotten cocktail resurrected by bar manager Guiliano Morandin; previous unavailable for 50 years, the Dorchester of London uses Forbidden Fruit — a liqueur made from cognac, pomelo fruit, citrus and honey — for a decadent drink that’ll have even the most refined bar hawk swinging from the chandeliers. Sourced from the hotel’s original cocktail recipe book — dating back to 1951 — the heady concoction is the perfect way to mark such a momentous occasion.
