Sun Screen / NEWS HUNGRY

A regular fixture of London summer, Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House brings you cult movies in this stunning neoclassical building on the Thames. For two weekends (29th-30th July and 5th-6th August) the magnificent Fountain Court will be transformed into the largest open-air cinema in town. Fun starts well before the screening: gates open at 6.30pm with DJs entertaining the crowds, so find a good spot, crack open a bottle, enjoy the music and get ready for some serious celeb-spotting until the film begins when the sun goes down. Whether you’re coming from outside of London, or simply want to play the tourist in your own town, you might as well make a weekend of it and book a special Summer Screen package with hip hotel brand myhotels. Starting from £160 at myhotel Bloomsbury and £165 at myhotel Chelsea, it includes two tickets to a Friday or Saturday screening, access to the VIP bar backstage, accommodation, continental breakfast (in bed!) and a late check-out. Oh, and there’s a complimentary cocktail upon arrival. Any takers?
