Hg2, more renowned for providing reviews to the finest eating establishments worldwide, couldn’t resist sharing this story, picked up from CNN.

Mallie’s Sports Grill and Bar in Detroit (not one of our recommended places to eat) has cooked what is officially the World’s Biggest Burger. On Thursday (20 Oct) restaurant chefs spent 22 hours cooking up a 338 pound burger. The ‘snack’ also contained 15 pounds of lettuce, 30 pounds of bacon, 30 pounds of tomatoes and 36 pounds of cheese.

The Absolutely Ridiculous Burger (Mallie’s name not ours for the burger beast, not ours) broke the Guinness World Record for largest burger after a tense wait for official certification.

Absolutly ridiculous: The world's biggest burger.

It’s not the first time the US bar has won this rather strange accolade. They have held the world record in 2009, where for $2,000 they would cook and ship your own gargantuan Guinness Burger to you!

Give us a petite portion of the finest cuisine cooked by one of the world’s finest chef’s any day!
