Hg2’s Favourite Paris Videos

Following on to last week’s post showcasing a few inspired short films about London, we decided to pick out a few videos about one of our favourite Hg2 cities: Paris. Iconic, photogenic, romantic and dark, these filmmakers managed to capture some of the City of Light’s most interesting corners. [tweetmeme]

Le Flâneur
A project by Luke Shepard, a student at The American University of Paris, this time lapse film is composed completely of photographs. Pictures shot on a Nikon D90 with music by The XX.

A day in PARIS
Shot by Benoît Millot, this film follows a robot through the city, capturing the beauty in Paris’s mundane, from feet shuffling on to the metro to construction workers on the street.

Sub City Paris
A wonderful short film by Redglass Pictures, this piece is the continuation of a series that explores that moment of uncertainty and magic that happens when you emerge from the depths of the subway system.

This film follows a day in the life of a beautiful young woman exploring Paris, taking photos, reading and seeing the city’s iconic sights.

Mumford & Sons – The Banjolin Song / Awake My Soul – A Take Away Show #105
For the last several years, La Blogothèque has been staging “Take Away Shows” around the streets of Paris – intimate and nearly improvised performances by musicians and bands both known and unknown. We adore this one of London band Mumford & Sons.
