GIVEAWAY: Talk in Colour album launch party tickets!

If you haven’t yet experienced the broody, melancholic and heartbreakingly beautiful sounds of London’s own Talk in Colour, you’re missing out.

Talk in Colour Colliderscope

First begun as the solo effort of cellist and electronician Chris Bangs (at the time, recording in a bedroom studio), the project eventually evolved into its current quintet – an unusual combination of strings, percussion, electronica and a harp.

Talk in Colour Launch Flyer

Talk in Colour released their first single, “Nightshifts”, last year to great success (if you saw the trailer for Junkhearts, you’ll have heard it) and are now set for the launch of their first full-length album, ColliderScope, on May 23 at Brazilian-themed Floripa in Shoreditch.

We were super excited when Talk in Colour offered us some free tickets to the launch party, but of course we couldn’t keep them all to ourselves, so we’re giving them away! Two pairs of tickets will be given away Tuesday May 22. Winners will also receive a free copy of ColliderScope.

Here’s how to enter:

Find Hg2 on Facebook, tweet us @Hg2 or leave a comment under “Your Thoughts?” below answering the following question:

What’s your favourite place in London to see a live gig?

That’s it! We’ll do a random draw from all the entries and contact the winners on Tuesday May 22 by 5pm to let you know and arrange to get the tickets into your hands.

To whet your appetite, here’s a little preview mashup of all the songs on ColliderScope.

  1. Does Astoria count? It always managed to combine crowd numbers with the feeling of intimacy. Also my first gig I ever attended was there!

Roundhouse is also great with more of ‘grown up’ feeling & great bar!

    • So sad that Astoria’s gone – I think it counts. Roundhouse is another great one. Thanks for commenting. Consider yourself entered!

      • Great thanks! Despite always smelling awlful it was a fabulous venue. It’s a shame its gone, but at least I have lots of fun memories to take with me.
