Coolest London Summer Pop-Ups (that aren’t restaurants) | Hg2 PICKS

You don’t need us to tell you what a momentous summer we’re having in London – it’s everywhere – and businesses are capitalising on all these visitors flocking to the city. Shops, clubs, ice-cream parlours and even beaches are ‘popping up’ all over, for limited periods of time – so at Hg2 we’ve been busy scouring the capital to bring you our list of this summer’s Top 10 London pop-ups. And here they are…

Make-up aficionados, get excited. Chanel is opening a (literally) one-of-a-kind store in Covent Garden, with two floors dedicated to beauty. If a touch-up is needed in a hurry, fret not, the Chanel pop-up will be hosting makeover and manicure bars for summer panic moments.

Camden pop-up beach
1 July – 30 August

The 900-square-metre (read: it’s massive) terrace of The Roundhouse is currently bedecked with sand, palm trees and deckchairs, bringing London its own island paradise. Drinks and ice cream outlets, as well as a barbeque, volleyball net and, of course, Olympic coverage on huge screens make for the ideal day out – let’s just keep our fingers crossed for sunshine…

Tomscoopery Gelato pop-up

Tomscoopery Ice Cream pop-up London

A constantly changing menu of crazy, boozed up ice cream flavours (think mojito, blood orange, chocolate & chilli) is making waves at Tomscoopery – a pop-up gelato bar at London Fields Brewery. It’s something a little different to your average Mr. Whippy van – and delicious whether it’s sunny or not!

Free to enter, book sessions etc when you’re there or in advance.
Created with Londoners’ wellbeing in mind, this pop-up spa offers affordable spa treatments, a pebble beach sunbathing area, a sauna and cold room – for escape during one of the city’s most hectic periods. Where better to sip organic cocktails under a canopy of growing cucumbers?

Novikov Lounge pop-up beach party
27 July

Novikov is hosting a glamorous, all-day pop-up lounge and beach party. From stepping off the Emirates Air Line cable car, you’re whisked off to the venue by private water taxi. Pop-up screens pitch up in hundreds of places and green spaces throughout London. Season tickets are available lasting the whole summer for those who can’t get enough of the proper cult movies they show, and we don’t blame you if you can’t bear to go back to an indoor, sticky-floor cinema.
